Healthcare District Incumbents Win Handily

Alliance endorsed candidates Ann Sparkman and Dr. Hank Simmonds easily won re-election, each amassing over 41% of the vote.

Now they will pursue their three goals: oversight of the continuing successful operation of Marin General Hospital, renew the lease between the Hospital District (Owner) and the Marin General Hospital Corporation (Operator), and oversee the project to modernize and meet seismic compliance for Marin's major medical facility. This includes informing and educating district residents of the importance of passing a bond measure to support the project.

THE PURPOSE OF THE ALLIANCE TO SAVE MARIN GENERAL HOSPITAL IS:

1) To educate ourselves and the general public regarding healthcare issues and how these issues affect the hospital.

2) To give community input and support transition planning for new management, as appropriate.

3) To seek and support candidates for the Marin District Board.
